Last month the team at The Coaches’ Site travelled to Naples Florida for the AHCA Convention to host a very special speakers series. The series mirrors what our annual conference looks like, only an abbreviated version. This year we were fortunate enough to host three presentations: Bakersfield Condors Head Coach Jay Woodcroft on his role building Team North America in last year’s World Cup of Hockey, a memorable Q & A with Florida Panthers Associate Coach Jack Capuano, and a talk from Paul Vincent and his colleague Mike Donaghue on the rapid improvements being made in tracking off-ice skill development.
The one thing you need to know about Paul Vincent? He’s a legend. He’s been in the game for a long time – long enough to have coached Adam Oates when he was a teenager. Along with Mike Donaghue, the pair delivered some handy advice for keeping your players engaged in the offseason and once training camp rolls around.
